Veterinary surgeons

Michail qualified from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. He spent twelve years working as a vet abroad and collaborated with animal charities in order to structure, organise and implement stray animal welfare and neutering programs. Michail spent five years in academia, focusing on a research project regarding innovative tumour markers in canine mammary cancer. He successfully supported his PhD thesis, he published scientific papers in peer reviewed journals and lectured in international conferences. Michail relocated to Suffolk in 2015. He immediately started working as a vet acting as a Head of Quality Improvement/Clinical Governance of three practices.

He has a keen interest in internal medicine cases and is looking forward to start a certification on this subject and veterinary business management. Michail enjoys all sorts of arts and ιn his spare time he is visiting London West End to attend shows and events. Michail then joined Alver Veterinary Group in 2019.

Laura qualified from the University of Liverpool in July 2019 and then started working for Alver Veterinary Group. She enjoys all aspects of the job and is thoroughly enjoying getting to know all of Alver's clients - both people and animals! In her spare time she likes to walk her two miniature dachshunds, Pepper and Sprinkle, to find new coffee shops and pubs to end up in! She enjoys playing field hockey, squash and watching the ice hockey.

Laura also lives with three rescue cats, James, Pixie and Pippin which cause chaos but she wouldn't have it any other way!

Brosna qualified from University College Dublin in 2014. She started working for Alver Veterinary Group in 2014 and has really enjoyed working with such a great team. Brosna is working towards a certificate in feline internal medicine. Since moving here Brosna has acquired an elderly cat and a taste for hiking around the lovely English countryside.

Jolanta qualified in May 2005 from veterinary school in Warsaw, Poland. In June 2005 she started a year’s internship at Fitzpatrick Referrals where she had the pleasure of working with Noel Fitzpatrick, and seeing lots of interesting orthopaedic and neurology cases. Jolanta decided to move to first opinion practice afterwards to have the opportunity to discover a wide range of veterinary disciplines which she has enjoyed since then. Jolanta likes all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a special interest in diagnostic imaging. She also very much enjoys soft tissue surgery. Jolanta has worked for Alver Veterinary Group since 2012.

Matt graduated from Warsaw University of Life Sciences in March 2018 where he immediately after came to work for Alver Vets. He has a keen interest in advancing his surgical knowledge and has been enjoying his time here at Alver Vets. Matt lives at home with his two cats, Oliver and Freia.
