As of the 1st of May there will be some changes to our direct claims insurance protocol here at Alver Veterinary Group. Due to the administration processes involved in doing so, we have needed to review our protocols as to how we carry out direct claims, and the criteria that needs to be met in order for us to consider processing them.
Working in our profession, we understand that some surgeries can prove a financial concern to our clients, this is why we offer to deal directly with certain insurance companies, to relieve our clients of financial stress at a time when they are also worried for the health of their beloved pet. We also offer direct claims in cases of emergency treatment for the above reasons.
From 1 May all continuation claims will need to be equal to or over £200 (at time of treatment) dependent on approval in order for us to consider claiming directly from your insurance company. If treatment for your pet falls below this specified amount you would be required to settle your account at the time of treatment and submit a claim form (at your convenience) for us to have the sum claimed back to yourself, via your pet insurance provider.
We wished to inform you of these changes before they come into practice.
If you have any questions please contact one of our practices where we will be happy to help you with your enquiry.
