Between the age of 4 and 14 weeks puppies are in their socialisation period. Therefore during this period, the more people, animals and places your puppy has a positive experience with, the better prepared they are for the big wide world ahead. Inadequate socialisation can increase the risk of behaviour problems such as fear or aggression.
Here at Alver Veterinary Group, we are running puppy parties, at our Stubbington branch, to help with socialisation. We offer places to six puppies between 8-14 weeks of age, whom have had there first vaccination, for four weeks.
The course involves talks on:
- Health checks.
- Parasite control.
- Basic first aid.
The course also entails a practice tour, puppy bingo and meeting a local behaviourist, Lyn Dubois from Tammy’s Dog Training, to answer any questions and learn about further training.
There is also time for basic training and puppy play where the puppies can meet each other on their terms.
Each party lasts for one hour and starts at 7:30pm on Tuesdays. If you interested please give us a call on 01329 667551.
